IWPASH 2009
International Workshop on the Principles and Applications of Spatial Hearing
Miyagi Zao Royal Hotel, Japan
November 11-13, 2009
This workshop is the first international workshop that intensively discusses principles and applications of spatial hearing. This is planned as an extension of a series of two Japanese workshops held in 2002 and 2005.
Human has high-precision 3D spatial hearing ability with the two channel inputs to the ears. The principles of this mechanism is still attracting many researchers. Moreover, new knowledge of spatial hearing has been driving applications, especially systems to render 3D sound space information, which are generally called virtual auditory displays. The applications of spatial hearing are rapidly advancing. With these motivation, this international workshop will focus on various kinds of principles and applications to realize 3D spatial hearing.
This workshop will be formed from around 20 lectures of the single session by the invited speakers, and the poster and demo sessions by contributors.
