ISPOC 2017: RIEC International Symposium on Photonics and Optical Communications

Appreciation letter from Masataka Nakazawa, General Chair, ISPOC2017 Organizing Committee

November 2, 2017

To all ISPOC2017 visitors
To all contributors to successful ISPOC2017

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation towards for successful completion of ISPOC2017 on October 25 & 26 last week. I am very much pleased that we had over 130 visitors, including 46 off-campus, during the two days sessions, for which I would like to express my gratitude. I, as well, really appreciate each of contributors' utmost efforts in each of their responsible area by which they have completed the project well on time.

Beginning with welcome address by Sadayoshi Ito, Board of Directors, Tohoku University, six invited overseas presenters including Prof. Erich P Ippen from MIT, and eight T.U professors/researchers followed in the technical program session.

Besides the symposium, the poster sessions with 25 presenters from several research institutes, and the exhibitions with 11 companies were successfully done as well.

Once again, I greatly appreciate your visiting to the symposium as well as each of your contribution to successful ISPOC2017.

Thank you very much.

Masataka Nakazawa Distinguished Professor, Research Institute of Electrical Communication, Tohoku University
