Emotion Embodied Avatars: Novel Remote Communication with Motion Unit AI
対人コミュニケーションでは，非言語情報が重要な役割を果たしています． その中で，コミュニケーションを豊かにするために特に重要で，学術的にも挑戦的な身体動作に注目して研究を進めています． 特に，身体動作の分析単位である「動作ユニット」と人の感情や意図とを関係付けたAIを構築して，キャラクタの感情豊かな動きを生成する研究を，文理融合・産学連携・国際共同研究の体制で進めています．【NEDO 人工知能活用による革新的リモート技術開発】 （北村喜文）
Human-rich communication replies on non-verbal cues heavily. Among them, we are conducting research focusing on physical movements that are particularly important for enriching communication and are academically challenging. In particular, we build an AI that links human emotions and intentions with the "Motion Unit," which is an analysis unit for body movements, and we are conducting research to generate emotionally rich motions of avatars through a system of international arts-science and industry-academia collaboration.【NEDO】(Yoshifumi Kitamura)
