Laboratory for Nanoelectronics and SpintronicsStaff佐藤 茂雄施設長（教授）Shigeo SatoDirector, Professor共通部 Cooperation Section森田 伊織技術職員Iori MoritaTechnical Official武者 倫正技術職員Michimasa MusyaTechnical Official「ナノ・スピン実験施設」は、本研究所附属研究施設として平成１６年４月１日に設置された。その目的は、情報通信を支えるナノエレクトロニクス・スピントロニクス基盤技術を創生することにある。これを実現するため、「ＩＴプログラムにおける研究開発推進のための環境整備」によって整備されたナノ・スピン総合研究棟とその主要設備を用いて、本研究所および本所と密接な関係にある本学電気・情報系の各研究分野と共にナノテクノロジーに基づいた電子の電荷・スピンを駆使する基盤的材料デバイス技術の研究開発を進め、さらに全国・世界の電気通信分野の研究者の英知を結集した共同プロジェクト研究を推進する。現在、ナノ・スピン総合研究棟では、「ナノ・スピン実験施設」が推進するナノ集積デバイス・システム、スピントロニクス、ナノ･バイオ融合分子デバイス、革新的スピントロニクスデバイスの各基盤技術を担当する施設研究室と、国際集積センタープロジェクト室、施設共通部、及び超ブロードバンド信号処理研究室、量子デバイス研究室が連携して研究を進めている。これらの陣容で、上記基盤技術を創生し、ナノエレクトロニクス・スピントロニクスにおける世界のセンターオブエクセレンス（ＣＯＥ）となることを目標としている。The Laboratory for Nanoelectronics and Spintronics of the Research Institute of Electrical Communication (RIEC) was established in April of 2004. Its purpose is to develop and establish the science and technology of nanoelectronics and spintronics for information technology. Utilizing the facilities installed in the Nanoelectronics-and-Spintronics building and under collaboration between RIEC and related laboratories of the Graduate Schools of Engineering, Information Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, of Tohoku University, R&D on nanotechnologies of materials and devices in Nanoelectronics and Spintronics are continued extensively. Furthermore, nation-wide and world-wide collaboration research projects are conducted to build a systematic database in electrical communication research.The Laboratory for Nanoelectronics and Spintronics mainly con-sists of laboratories of Nano-Integration Devices and Systems-, Spintronics, Nano-Bio Hybrid Molecular Devices, and Innovative Spintronic Device; together with the project office of the Center for Innovative Integrated Electronic Systems, and the groups of Ultra-Broadband Signal Processing, and Quantum Devices.
