巻頭言

2019年よりスタートしたRIEC Newswebの2022年秋号ニュースセレクションをお届けします。本号では、2022年4月から2022年10月までのトピックを厳選しました。

依然としてCOVID-19の影響は続いておりますが、しばらくオンラインで実施されてきたイベントもハイブリッド開催を含む対面での実施に移りつつあります。10月には通研公開が4年ぶりに対面（ハイブリッド形式）で開催され、今後もウィズコロナ社会における新しい形の活動が徐々に増えてまいりました。

RIEC Newswebでは、通研公開を始めオープンキャンパスなどのイベント報告を掲載しています。また、本年度より羽生貴弘教授の所長就任に伴い、新所長による挨拶も掲載しておりますので、この機会にぜひご覧ください。

The 2022 autumn edition of RIEC News Selection, which started in 2019, is now issued. This issue covers selected topics from April 2022 to November 2022.

While the impact of COVID-19 is still ongoing, many events that have been conducted online for the past three years are now shifting to face-to-face meetings, including a hybrid format. In October, the RIEC Open House was held in person (hybrid format) for the first time in four years, and the number of new activities in the “coexisting with COVID-19” style has been gradually increasing.

RIEC Newsweb carries reports on events such as the RIEC Open House and other events. In addition, we have included a greeting by the new Director of RIEC, Professor Takahiro Hanyu, and so please take this opportunity to read it.
