Associate Professor Masanori Natsui received M. Ishida Foundation Research Award 2020.
This award praises research achievements of researchers and educators who engage in information-telecommunication researches and developments in environment engineering, system engineering, and all fields of engineering.
This award was given to the research on spintronics-based energy-efficient, high-performance, and highly reliable LSI design technology. The award ceremony took place on November 13th, 2020.

Mr. Keisuke Fukda of the Soft Computing Integrated System Laboratory received the the Student Paper Award of the 2020 International Symposium on Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications. The title of the awarded paper is “Cyclic Reservoir Neural Network Circuit for 3D IC Implementation,” written by Keisuke Fukuda, Yoshihiko Horio, Takemori Orima, and Koji Kiyoyama.

Mr. Yuuki Sano, the 2nd degree of master course at Electromagnetic Bioinformation Engineering, received the Best Presentation Paper Award. This prize is awarded to a researcher who gave an excellent paper at Annual Conference of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ) 2020.
The awarded subject matter is entitled “Study on Haptics Using 3-dimensional Magnetic Field Vector and Permanent Magnet (Authors: Yuuki Sano, Shuichiro Hashi, and Kazushi Ishiyama)”.

Assistant professor Fumihiro Kaneda received a Young Scientist Award of the Physical Society of Japan.

The honor was awarded for young researchers who have made outstanding achieveents in their early research carriers. The award work is titled “Study of high-efficiency single photon sources, entanglement, and uncertainty relations.”
