Mr. Takemori Orima of the Soft Computing Integrated System Laboratory received the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 2021 Nonlinear Problem Workshop, which is cooperated by 12 universities.
The title of the awarded paper is “Toward the construction of a speech recognition system using a reflectionless transmission-line model based on the cochlea,” written by Takemori Orima and Yoshihiko Horio.

This prize is awarded to students who authored an excellent paper for presentation in the 2021 Spring Meeting of Acoustical Society of Japan.
The honor was awarded for the paper titled “The effect of angular difference between intermittent speech sound and inserted noise on phonemic restoration.
