Associate Professor Takehito Shimatsu (IT-21 Center, Storage Division) was awarded Platinum Prize in Noble Metals Research Award 2009 from Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo K. K. This prize is awarded to a researcher who contributed to R&D of new materials/technologies related to noble metals. The award was given to the following research: “Development of L11-type Co-Pt ordered alloy sputter films for high density storage or memory devices”.
