Mr. Sho Ozaki received the “MSJ Presentation Award for Student” (FY 2012) from the Magnetics Society of Japan (on October 3, 2012).
The award was given to student members who presented excellent talks at the Annual Conference on Magnetics in Japan. The title of the talk is “First-principles calculations of magnetic anisotropy in FeNi ordered alloy and Fe/Ni multilayers”. In the talk, Mr. Ozaki proposed a guideline for achieving strong magnetic anisotropy in the above subject materials, aiming at creation of new ferromagnetic materials containing no noble metal elements.
