Mr. Shota Horiuchi at the Ultra-Broadband Signal Processing Laboratory received Student Paper Award, 2nd Place and Optica Student Scholarship Grant at the TeraTech 2024 (11th International Symposium on Terahertz-Related Devices and Technologies) in Buffalo, NY, USA (Jun. 14, 2024).
Mr. Shota Horiuchi of the Ultra-Wideband Signal Processing Laboratory received the Student Paper Award, 2nd Place and Optica Student Scholarship Grant at the TeraTech 2024 (the 11th International Symposium on Terahertz-Related Devices and Technologies), held in Buffalo, NY, USA, from June 10 to 14, 2024. The Student Paper Award was awarded to the presenters of the best papers among 12 student papers. By peer-review and evaluation of the technical program committee (TPC), only three students were selected as award winners and were awarded by the TPC chairperson. The winning paper is entitled “Verification of 300-GHz-Band Photonic Double-Mixing Using a UTC-PD-Integrated HEMT” authored by Shota Horiuchi, Mitsuki Watanabe, Tsung-Tse Lin, Shinnosuke Uchigasaki, Koichi Tamura, Tetsuya Suemitsu, Taiichi Otsuji, and Akira Satou. Also, Optica Student Scholarship Grant was awarded to the best paper presented by a student outside USA. By peer-review and evaluation of the technical program committee (TPC), only one student was selected as an award winner and was awarded by the TPC chairperson.
