概要
ナノエレクトロニクス国際共同研究拠点創出事業(平成17年度~21年度特別教育研究経費として採択)を基盤として、21世紀に求められる高度な情報通信を実現するため、「ナノ集積化技術の追求と展開」、「スピン制御技術の確立と半導体への応用」、「分子ナノ構造による情報処理の実現と応用」の3本を柱に据え、ナノエレクトロニクス情報デバイスと、これを用いた情報システムの構築を推進するとともに、これらを実現するための国際共同研究体制を構築し、ナノエレクトロニクス分野の世界におけるCOEの確立を目指している。
