Professor Taiichi Otsuji (Broadband Engineering Division, Ultra-Broadband Signal Processing Laboratory) received the 59th (FY2021) IEICE Achievement Award (Research) (June 9, 2022)
Professor Taiichi Otsuji (Ultra-Broadband Signal Processing Laboratory, Broadband Engineering Division) received the 59th (FY2021) IEICE Achievement Award on June 9th, 2022.
The award has been presented annually since 1963 as the “IEICE Achievement Award” to those who have made outstanding contributions to the academic field (Article 9, Item (a) of the Award Guidelines), and to those who have made clear achievements in recent years in the development, improvement, and international standardization of new equipment or methods related to electronics and information communications (Article 9, Item (b) of the Award Guidelines).
This year’s award was presented to Professor Otsuji for his “Pioneering research on terahertz light source and detection devices using resonance phenomena of two-dimensional plasmon” and other one group and an individual in accordance with Article 9 (a) of the Award Regulations, and two groups and an individual in accordance with Article 9(B). The presentation ceremony of the achievement award will be held on June 9, 2022 via web online.
